Dr Anil Sharma, MD, MS (Ophthal), FRANZCO

Dr Anil Sharma is a General Ophthalmic Surgeon. He graduated from Medical School in 1988 and completed his Post Graduate Training in Ophthalmology in 1994. He completed advanced eye training in Sydney Eye Hospital in 2000 and the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2001.  Dr Sharma completed his FRANZCO in August 2005 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists since 2006. He is actively involved with Qld RANZCO and AMA Qld.

Dr Sharma has been practicing in Rockhampton since 2003. Since 2015 he also visits Central Lakes Eyes Clinic located at the Caboolture Private Hospital. He practices in all scopes of Comprehensive (General) Ophthalmology such as Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma Management & Surgery, Macular Degeneration, Diabetes & Medical Retina, Retinal, Vitreous and Macular Diseases and Surgery.

He is a Senior Lecturer in Ophthalmology with University of QLD (UQ) and is involved in the teaching and supervising of Ophthalmology to medical students, Registrars, J.H.O’s and P.H.O’s.  He has also been involved in educational Activities with local Optometrists and GPs. He enjoys visiting Nepal to participate in cataract surgery programs and teaching in eye camps.
